Terms of service

Terms for using Syntravi services.

These terms explain ordering, payment, delivery, website services, subscriptions, customer responsibilities, and service limitations.

Effective date: September 18, 2026. Terms version: 2026-09-18-v1.

1. Agreement to these terms

By accepting the required agreements and continuing with a purchase or subscription, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy & File Handling Notice. If you order for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act on its behalf.

2. Services and document outputs

Each document order covers the output shown at checkout unless the order page states otherwise. Different outputs, such as an accessible PDF, Word document, digital Braille file, large-print version, or physical Braille copy, may be priced separately.

Website accessibility checks, remediation, monitoring, and consulting are separate services. The service description and price shown before purchase identify what is included.

3. Prices and payments

Syntravi displays the applicable service price before payment. By authorizing payment, you allow the selected payment provider to charge the displayed amount. Applicable taxes, shipping, or other disclosed charges may be added before payment is completed.

Payment details are entered with the selected payment provider. Syntravi does not store full card numbers or card security codes.

4. Digital processing and delivery

Digital services begin after payment is confirmed. Completion time can vary with document length, source quality, complexity, and the service selected. Syntravi may contact you when a document needs clarification or additional review.

Please review completed files for content accuracy, especially names, numbers, tables, formulas, complex graphics, handwriting, and text created from scanned pages.

5. Cancellations and refunds

If a digital order has not started processing, a cancellation request may be eligible for a refund, subject to payment-provider and legal requirements. Completed or substantially processed customer-specific digital work is generally non-refundable except when required by law or when Syntravi does not provide the purchased service as agreed.

Duplicate charges will be corrected after verification. Website-remediation orders that cannot begin for a Syntravi-side reason may be canceled or refunded as appropriate.

6. Customer files and lawful authority

You must own submitted material, have permission to process it, or otherwise have lawful authority to request the service. You may not use Syntravi to infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality, trade-secret, or other rights.

Some books, textbooks, and other copyrighted materials may require additional confirmation before processing.

7. Braille, large print, shipping, and remakes

Physical orders may include production, copies, binding, packaging, shipping, and applicable charges shown during ordering. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address.

If an item has a material Syntravi production defect or arrives damaged, contact Syntravi so the appropriate remedy can be reviewed. Depending on the circumstances, that may include a remake, replacement, carrier claim, credit, or refund.

8. Website accessibility services

You may request website services only for sites you are permitted to test. To authorize changes, you must own or administer the website or have permission from the owner.

Syntravi addresses supported accessibility issues through authorized website-remediation services and provides follow-up findings so you can identify additional work when needed.

9. Website backups and changes

Before authorizing website changes, you are responsible for ensuring that a current recoverable backup is available. Website changes can interact with themes, plugins, custom code, or third-party services, so additional review may sometimes be needed.

10. Monitoring subscriptions

Monitoring plans renew monthly at the price shown when you subscribe until canceled. You authorize the selected payment provider to charge the recurring subscription amount each billing period.

Cancellation stops future renewal according to the payment provider's processing and the subscription status shown in your dashboard. Unless required by law or otherwise stated, a monthly fee already charged is not prorated solely because cancellation occurs during that billing period.

11. Accessibility service scope

Syntravi provides accessibility checking, document services, remediation, monitoring, and consulting according to the service selected. Accessibility requirements can depend on the content, technology, user interaction, and applicable standards. When a broader evaluation is appropriate, Syntravi may recommend a more comprehensive review rather than representing a limited service as a complete legal certification.

12. Privacy and file handling

Information about uploaded files, contact details, payment references, order records, website connections, and retention is provided in the Privacy & File Handling Notice.

13. Service availability and changes

Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, security needs, provider outages, internet failures, or circumstances outside reasonable control. Supported formats, features, pricing, and service limits may change for future orders. Changes to these terms apply prospectively according to the version presented for the applicable transaction.

14. Prohibited use

You may not use Syntravi to attack systems, evade access controls, distribute malware, process unlawfully obtained material, impersonate another person, interfere with service operation, or authorize website changes without permission.

15. Responsibility

Syntravi provides the accessibility and production services selected by the customer and is not a substitute for legal advice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Syntravi is not responsible for losses caused solely by inaccurate customer instructions, unlawful customer content, incorrect shipping information, third-party payment or carrier failures, or website modifications made outside the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited.

16. Questions about an order or these terms

Use the order-status page to review a transaction, or use the contact form for service or terms questions.
